Our Cambridge workshops are held at the Trinity Centre on the Cambridge Science Park

Our workshops held in Pisa, Italy are run in collaboration with Trust-IT Srl

Our Brussels, Belgium workshops are held at the East of England Brussels Office

Singleimage workshops provide a quick and effective introduction to many aspects of European Union Research Programmes. Whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced proposer trying to improve your success rate, or a project manager about to start your first EU project, our training can help you understand the challenges and opportunities ahead.  All our workshops are given in English.

Each workshop consists of lectures, practical exercises and feedback sessions, and provides lots of opportunities for questions and discussion. The topics covered are:

  • Winning FP7 Bids: a winning proposal starts with firm foundations: the right topic, a practical workplan, and a consortium that can deliver not only the scientific results but also impact on society or the economy.  This workshop will give you a comprehensive insight into how to establish the foundations for a successful proposal.  The workshop is aimed at researchers, research managers and advisors who have attended an FP7 introductory event, such as an Information Day, and now need to understand the full requirements.

  • Coordinating FP7 Research Projects: this workshop explains how EU collaborative research projects funded under the Framework Programme really work! It covers both the formal basis of the project from contracts to reporting and review, and the practicalities of coordinating a multi-partner, multi-country project to deliver the results promised in the proposal. The workshop is aimed at research managers and administrators coordinating EU collaborative research projects.  It is also suitable for those managing their organisation's participation in EU collaborative projects, or developing the managment section of proposals for these projects.

  • Finance in FP7: comprehensive guide to the financial rules for EU research. Covers everything from eligible costs to interest earned on advance payments, from payment terms to penalties, from subcontracting to social costs, from timesheets to audit. Aimed at finance staff and also suitable for project managers.

  • Consortium Agreement for FP7: a good consortium agreement can support effective project management and minimise risks to intellectual property rights.  This workshop explains the main features and options for consortium agreements for collaborative projects in FP7. Suitable for contracts managers, project managers and all concerned with intellectual property in EU collaborative research projects.

Once you have attended one of our workshops we do not abandon you!  We provide an after-care service.  So, for example, if you can't quite remember how an EC ruling applies to your project, send us an email.  You will also receive a copy of our In-Touch with FP7 monthly publication.
